We might as well start by showcasing our own work with Open Inventor! Avizo and amira are widely used applications, based on Open Inventor, that really show the power and capabilities of the toolkit to address a very wide range of visualization requirements.

Historical note: amira evolved into two product branches to better address the requirements of specific markets. amira addresses Biology, Medicine, Medical Research, Bio-informatics and Pharmaceutical markets. Avizo addresses other markets including Earth Science, Climate research, Geoscience, Material Sciences, Non-Destructive Testing, CAE / Post-processing, Immersive Visualization, Physical Sciences and Molecular visualization.
