measurements in an oblique slice

I would like to take simple measurements (linear distances) on tomographic data using the mouse, but in the plane of an oblique slice. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

1). First create an oblique slice,
2). Either right click data, Measure/LineProbe, or use 3D "measure" tool from the tool bar
3). Choose end points on the oblique slice.
