The Visualization Sciences Group (VSG) develops innovative solutions for 3D visualization in a wide range of areas such as geosciences, medical research, design and mechanical engineering, material sciences, and NDT. We provide industry-leading organizations with interactive 3D data visualization software and solutions that help business, scientific and engineering users gain critical insight from all types of data. Position Summary: You will build and maintain the technical relationship with VSG customers, including Government and Defense customers. You will need to understand customer applications, map them to our products and capabilities and help implement them. You will develop demonstrations, benchmarks, prototypes, and customized solutions based on our product portfolio. You will attend and contribute to the organization of exhibitions, conferences and seminars. You will work very closely with our sales and our engineering divisions. Location: · The position is open to US Citizens in Burlington, MA. · About 25-30% travel is required. Territory: · US and Canada Qualified candidates will have to conduct following tasks:
Secondary Accountabilities/Scope of Position: · Reviews technical documentation and participates in QA of new products and new releases before they are proposed to customers.
Education, Experience and Abilities: · Bachelors degree or equivalent · Technical requirements: o 1-2 years’ experience in 3D programming: OpenGL, Open Inventor, other scene graph APIs, DirectX, visualization toolkits (VTK, Hoops, Coin3D, OpenSceneGraph, ITK ), QT, volume rendering, post-processing visualization on meshes … o C++ and Microsoft .Net (Java a plus) o Good knowledge of the Windows and Linux developer environments. o General knowledge of visualization algorithms and compute cluster based systems. o General knowledge of Medical, CAE, and CAD/CAM and metrology markets and workflows is a plus. · Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate technical ideas in person (one-on-one and small audience settings) as well as listening to and responding to customer problems via telephone and email, giving technical direction, and technical programming and analysis. · Organized and focused. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at the same time, and be able to prioritize responsibilities.
