Avizo Earth Edition - SEGY Tutorial

In attachment a full tutorial about loading and visualizing SegY dataset,
using Avizo Earth edition.

The data used for this tutorial is available from the ftp site at the following locations:

ftp.3dviz.mc.com/private/MASTERS/Avizo/Data/BoonsVilleData.zip


Please download it and unpack it into a directory named data/seismic/boons in your Avizo installation directory.

You can learn how to :
- setup custom trace header offset
- setup custom survey geo-referencing
- setup data conversion
- use several probes, inlines, crosslines, etc...

Bonus trick :
before starting the SegY wizard conversion you need to setup your LDA preferences under Edit->Preferences->LDA.
You can change the compression algorithm, the tile border and the tile size.
Suggested values are : Compression: Gzip, Tile Size: 64, Border Size: 3
The SegY to LDA conversion will use your current LDA preferences.
