Contrast Issue

Hi

I am a new Avizo user. I have a few images from FIB/SEM. At the moment I am trying to get familiar with the software.

I am having trouble adjusting the contrast, I have dark areas on my images that I want to adjust, because when I segment it considers it as pores and they are not.

Your help would be appreciated.

Hi Adnan,

It seems you will need to segment out the big pores and the small pores in two seperate steps.

For big pores, as they appears to be really dark, thresholding should work.

For small pores, you can try black top hat (an Avizo Fire tool).

Thank you, I will try it.

I spent a bit of time using the Edit New Label Field. And somehow I managed to get reasonable segmentation but when I compute Isosurface its not connecting as a volume, its showing by slices ("I hope I explained this correct)

Hi Adnan,

When you use segmentation editor (the user interface and tools opened by "Edit New Label Field"), you need to tell Avizo to segment per slice or on all slices.

The snapshot you've shown appears to be segmentation done only on some slices, but not all.
