Hi there,
I'm wondering if there's any way to increase resource utilization on a Windows 7 Machine with 2 intel xeon quad core processors and 96-gb of ram. However, when using Avizo both 6.1 and 7.0-beta1, CPU usage never surpasses 20% and ram usage never goes pass 20GB. When loading a large isosurface 400x600x750, there are significant delays before re-rendering the structure. Loading similar size datasets on linux systems are significantly faster.
I've changed some of the preferences increasing LDA memory allocation and video allocation to 45GB each, without much performance increase. I've also selected 'optimized graphics' instead of memory consumption. The graphics card of the system is a nVidia Quadro FX 5800. Any idea or suggestions would be appreciated.
