Hi:

I segmented a group of CT images for a human and put the results in Human.Labels. Invoking segmentation editor, I can select a particular organ or structure to visulatize it in 3D, say, the skelton.

But how do I visualize mroe then one structures? For example, suppose there are skin, fat, muscle, and bone in the segmented results, how do I show skin transparently at the same time show the skelton? That is, how do I present it show that we are looking at a transparent human body to visualize the internal organs?

In addition, how do I visualize what mentioned above when I only import surface into Avizo, but do I import the label file?

Thank you,

Hi durham,

Let me answer your second question first -- the most effective way to do this is on surfaces, generated from label field with *SufaceGen*.

To achieve the combined visualization effects, there are again a number of ways. The most effective one is attaching multiple *SurfaceView*s to the surface data module. Using *Materials* port to choose the desired structure, and *Draw style* port to choose transparency/solid shading. Note you might need to push *clear* and *add* buttons in *buffer* port before you see the desired effect.

Another way to achieve this is combining surface visualization with volume visualization.
