View Full Version : Binding 3D images together

I made several 3D images using avizo, and now have to connect all 3D images together, with each having exact coordinates in which to bind...Does anyone have any ideas how to do this??
(basically, I have several cylinders now but have to connect the cylinders together to make large rod-like 3D object...)
Thanks

For this purpose you may want to use the Compute/Merge module. Images can have arbitrary transform and can be overlapping. See Merge reference help for details.
If image stacks should be just exactly concatenated, you can also use the TCL command 'merge', for instance:
>motor.am merge z motor.am
Here we 'duplicate' the image stack along the 'z' axis.

I'll try that tomorrow

I've got a problem using compute/merge!
I have about 10 3D images I need to stack up together, but when I use "merge", it only seems to stack maximum of 3 together no matter how I try.
Also, in the help menu, it talks about interpolation, but I dont really need anything to be interpolated!! (I guess it is okay to be interpolated, but I cant choose to use Lanczos, possily because I am using label fields...)
Thanks

I think i figured out where i was going wrong now (after 3-4hours of trial and error....). Cheers
